Arrival is between 4pm and 8pm.
Departure is by 10am.
Please stick to these times to allow us sufficient time to carry out the enhanced cleaning procedures and ventilation of the cottage in line with the Government COVID-19 guidelines, to help keep everyone safe.
Check in is via sanitised key safe, but please let me know if you’ll be arriving after dark and I will make sure the lights are on for you. Our farm is nearby, so I am on hand to deal with any queries, requests or problems you may have at any time during your stay. We want you to enjoy the best that North Yorkshire has to offer and there is an information folder in the cottage, but please don’t hesitate to contact me if there is anything else you’d like to know prior to your arrival.
The cottage is unlikely to be suitable for wheelchair users or those with limited mobility as the bedrooms and bathroom are on the first floor and unfortunately, there is no lift.
We strive to use local produce and make Old Bald Peg as eco friendly and sustainable as possible, but we are currently, far from ideal. It is our intention to convert to more green energy sources over the next few years, but in the meantime we have tried to implement energy saving measures where possible. The cottage has loft insulation and new, sustainably sourced wood double glazing. We use eco friendly cleaning and washing products as far as possible ( although Covid-19 guidelines do require some viricidal products), and all our paper products are bamboo or recycled paper. We have reduced plastic use as far as possible and will continue to do so. We want you to have a warm and comfortable stay at Old Bald Peg, but would encourage visitors to use energy sensibly and to recycle if possible.
